Marib PN Applicants Provide Water Line for Local Residents in Najja, Juba

On February 8, a PACA Team of 6 PN applicants provided a water line from the community well project in Waset to Najja, both neighborhoods in Juba. This small pipeline cost more than the maximum amount that PN can request for a small PACA Teamwork practice exercise, and thus the PN applicants raised an additional 20,000 YER in donations to support their effort. They also organized 30 youth volunteers to help. As a result, today this pipeline is providing approximately 1500 local residents with water!

Marib PN Applicants Repair al-Hawi Water Tank in al-Shariqa, Juba

There were 6 PN applicants concerned about the multiple leaks in the al-Hawi well water tank in al-Shariqa, Juba. For their PACA Teamwork Activity, they decided to repair it. The repairs cost more than the maximum allowance of 21,000 YER allowed for this introductory exercise, so PN applicants raised an additional 35000 YER in donations from local residents to cover the additional cost. They also recruited 73 local volunteers, 60 of which were youth, who, on February 10th, donated their time and skills to provide the labor to fix the leaks. The tank holds 10,000 liters of water, and with the repairs, approximately 3000 local residents now benefit from it – almost quadruple the number of residents who were able to use the water tank before it was repaired!
