Marib PN Applicants Repair al-Hawi Water Tank in al-Shariqa, Juba
There were 6 PN applicants concerned about the multiple leaks in the al-Hawi well water tank in al-Shariqa, Juba. For their PACA Teamwork Activity, they decided to repair it. The repairs cost more than the maximum allowance of 21,000 YER allowed for this introductory exercise, so PN applicants raised an additional 35000 YER in donations from local residents to cover the additional cost. They also recruited 73 local volunteers, 60 of which were youth, who, on February 10th, donated their time and skills to provide the labor to fix the leaks. The tank holds 10,000 liters of water, and with the repairs, approximately 3000 local residents now benefit from it – almost quadruple the number of residents who were able to use the water tank before it was repaired!
